Variosystems is a trusted partner in electronics manufacturing, offering a globally harmonized supply chain and production network. Challenge

Variosystems faced the crucial task of transitioning nearly 700 employees across six global locations to a modern and secure cloud environment. 

The goal was to ensure seamless collaboration, standardized device management, secure data access, and an elevated user experience while maintaining operational continuity during the migration.

 

Solution

As part of the "Highway to M365" project, Experts Inside supported Variosystems throughout their transition to the cloud, delivering comprehensive solutions across multiple dimensions:

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conducted detailed evaluations to establish a solid basis for the Modern Workplace implementation.
  • Modern Workplace Rollout: Equipped nearly 700 employees with new workplace devices, fully set up through automated deployment.
  • Infrastructure Upgrade: Built a Microsoft Azure-based VPN infrastructure to ensure secure connectivity across all global locations.
  • Cloud Migration and Governance: Successfully migrated all mailboxes to the cloud, configured a multi-organization environment for Variosystems’ subsidiary, and defined and introduced complete governance.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Data Modernization: Built a Champions Community across locations, launched a bilingual information platform, trained employees in the new way of working, and completed two lighthouse data migration projects, setting a foundation for future initiatives.
  • Support Infrastructure: Set up a comprehensive support organization in Sri Lanka to provide ongoing assistance.
