Variosystems is a trusted partner in electronics manufacturing, offering a globally harmonized supply chain and production network. With facilities across Europe, North America, China, and the Asia-Pacific region, Variosystems ensures the seamless industrialization of regional supply chains and delivers efficient, high-quality electronics manufacturing solutions. 

 

Challenge

Variosystems was facing a challenge in providing secure and seamless access to internal resources for employees located across 6 global locations.

Previously, access to central applications and services was facilitated via Citrix, but the growing need for improved performance and modern infrastructure called for a more robust solution. The objective was to establish a global network infrastructure that ensured secure and high-performing connectivity to both Azure-hosted resources and the on-premises data center.

 

Solution

Experts Inside assisted Variosystems in implementing a global network solution leveraging Azure Virtual WAN. Key aspects of the implementation include:

  • Technology Stack: Azure Virtual WAN with hubs and VPN gateways deployed in three strategic locations (US, EU, and India), integrated with Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Windows 11 Always On VPN for client connectivity.
  • Deployment Approach: Using Bicep templates, the Virtual WAN is deployed efficiently, enabling automation and consistency across the setup. Six global locations are connected using site-to-site VPNs, ensuring redundancy and high availability.
  • Optimization: Post-deployment performance tests are conducted at each location to validate the network setup and fine-tune for optimal performance.
